MAIP Experience Part 2

The agency selection period rolled around and I was nervous (to say the least). What if no agency picked me? What if my profile didn't stand out enough? I kept refreshing the portal to see if an agency had selected me until...one did! Weber Shandwick NYC had selected me to work with them over the summer as a PR intern! Strategy and PR were my top two choices of disciplines so I was happy to be able to work within them. In addition to that, my research told me Weber Shandwick was a very reputable company so no complaints from me! I received an email later on that told me they wanted me with their strategy team instead and I thought to myself, could this get any more perfect? Saying that I learned a lot working with the strategy team at Weber is an understatement. They really took the time to help me navigate the analytics tools and syndicated databases. I felt like I could talk to any member of the team and that my opinions were valued in the research process. In addition to client work, I completed 3 intern projects with Weber alongside 2 intern projects separately with MAIP - I stayed BUSY. I learned so much from Weber and MAIP and am so grateful for the experiences that both were able to provide. Proud to say I am now a MAIP Alum.
